Uptown Lacrosse Launches with Major Princeton Partnership
On Saturday, February 22nd, Bruce Lincoln, ’79 launched Uptown Lacrosse at the Police Athletic League Harlem Center. In partnership with Princeton Varsity Lacrosse, Bruce collaborated with Coach Madalon and young lax alums: Elizabeth George,’19, Erik Peters,’22, Olivia Pugh,’22, Oliver Schmickel,’19 and Kyla Sears, ’22 to produce an exciting community lacrosse event enjoyed by almost 150 parents, kids and guests. We also had coaches from Howard, Georgetown, U Mass Amherst and St. John Fisher for a 3 to 1 kid to coach ratio. ABC, PIX 11 and NY1 provided news coverage.

The mission of Uptown Lacrosse is to “Grow the Game” by making lacrosse accessible to youth as early as 3rd grade. The Uptown Lacrosse Academy will begin April 5th at the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club (250 Bradhurst Avenue). Our Spring Season will run Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon through June 28th. Prior to that, we will hold Open Houses on March 22nd and 29th, where parents can sign their kids up with USA Lacrosse and take part in a community lacrosse clinic sponsored by STX.
